cold tofu | hot for food by Lauren Toyotasource: https://www.hotforfoodblog.com/recipes/2014/07/02/cold-tofu/The easiest and final Japanese inspired dish that I made for the Toyota family picnic is simple cold tofu. Now I like tofu, but this might be an acquired taste. But have an open mind! It’s very light and has a lot of flavor from the tamari and green onions, and it’s a nice compliment to the salty and saucy yakisoba and fried yam tempura. There’s also four ingredients in this dish, and it takes a quick 10 minutes to throw together! Get rid of any beliefs that tofu has to be fried or made crispy to be delicious. This will surprise you and hopefully turn you into an official tofu fan!cold tofuIngredients1 package medium firm tofu1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari1 tsp grated ginger1 green onion, finely choppedInstructionsDrain the water from the package of tofu and cut into 1-inch cubes. In a mixing bowl, whisk together low-sodium soy sauce or tamari and grated ginger. Stir in the green onion, reserving some for the garnish on the top. Pour the sauce over the tofu cubes and serve.NotesThe post cold tofu appeared first on hot for food by Lauren Toyota.
