But for some reason, we’ve been tricked into thinking we need expensive and exotic products to get that youthful glow. While superfoods are great for the insides, they’re just as good for the outside, too. So I dare you to open up your pantry and start experimenting with foods to make amazing beauty remedies! A great start is with this superfoods face mask containing powerful antioxidants. You could let it sit while you soak in a bath filled with my floral bath soak for an extra relaxing night!superfoods face maskIngredients1 green tea bag2 tbsp gluten-free rolled oats1/2 C coconut cream1 avocado2 tbsp raw cacao powderInstructionsBrew a cup of strong green tea with one tea bag. It can sit and steep while you prepare everything else. Next, run the oats through a coffee grinder for a couple of seconds just to get them broken up into smaller pieces. In a mixing bowl, whip the coconut cream with a whisk or a hand mixer.Scoop the avocado flesh from the peel and add it to the bowl along with the raw cacao powder, ground oats, and 2 tbsp of steeped green tea. Combine all the ingredients with a whisk or a hand mixer until smooth.Apply the mixture evenly onto your face, avoiding the eyelids. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then using some warm water and your hands gently massage the mask on your face to let the oats do some exfoliating before rinsing it all off.Notestip:keep a can of coconut cream in the fridge in advance of making this mask. It whips up better when it’s cold and it will feel nice on your face. Plus you can make a delicious and healthy dairy-free whipped cream with the leftovers! The post superfoods face mask appeared first on hot for food by Lauren Toyota.
